Tool Room Technician I

Located in Alvarado, TX

Position Summary:

The position of Tool Room Tech I will report directly to the Mechanic/Tool Room Lead and will work cooperatively with other team members to provide quality products to our customers in a timely, cost-efficient manner following all policies, procedures and protocols. This individual will communicate with team members as well as the Mechanic/Tool Room Lead daily.

Essential Responsibilities & Requirements:

Responsibilities
• Provide complete, high level customer products/service and support for customers and other Custom Truck One Source facilities.
• Process requests of Mechanic/Tool Room Lead in an accurate and timely manner.
• Diagnose departmental issues and communicate issues with Mechanic/Tool Room Lead.
• Stay up to date on all procedure or process changes and utilize appropriate tools to improve process efficiency.
• Provide high quality workmanship.

Requirements
• The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have operational inquiries.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Dexterity required to utilize power tools, and other tools required to do the job.
• Ability to work in a safe environment and respect those around you.
• Must be able to observe and interpret operational data.
• Ability to learn technical material.
• Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance.
• Ability to perform responsibilities at the designated site for designated hours as assigned, excluding holidays and vacation/sick leave.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.

Other Responsibilities:
• Various projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• Basic understanding of RubberTesting.net.
• Limited knowledge of tool repair.
• Proficient with basic jobs like beading and working at the Parts Washer.
• Ability to work with simple tools without oversight and guidance while maintaining a high-quality standard.
• Experience working in a results-oriented, team environment.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to enter data into computer or tablet.
