Permitting Specialist

The Permitting Specialist will play a key role in obtaining necessary permits and approvals and facilitating communication with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities:

Research and understand regulatory requirements and permitting processes for projects in various jurisdictions. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify permitting requirements for projects. Prepare and submit permit applications, including gathering necessary documentation and completing required forms. Communicate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to obtain permits and approvals in a timely manner. Track permit applications and approvals, and provide regular updates to project teams. Review permit conditions and ensure compliance with permit requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in resolving permitting issues and addressing regulatory agency inquiries or concerns. Maintain accurate records of permitting activities and documentation.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to permitting and environmental compliance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with regulatory agencies and stakeholders. Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
