As a Materials Engineer you will thrive on tackling challenges, as the position requires the use of problem-solving skills in a hands-on work environment to address problems and implement appropriate design or process changes.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.

What YOU will do:

You will perform technical calculations to determine chemical contents on the manufactured hardware using 2D and 3D drawings. You will plan, organize, direct, and report on special process-related activities to assure engineering requirements are met for special processes. Includes reporting on raw materials quality, special process service providers’ performance and laboratory testing. You will participate in multi-disciplinary problem-solving teams using RRCA techniques. You will ensure compliance with several CAS# parts in different Global Regulations like REACH, TOSCA, Etc. You will provide 2-way feedback on technical issues to Rockford, Windsor Locks, and GETC's like Poland Engineering and PR Operations. You will perform Materials of Concern Analysis.

Education & Experience:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 1-5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 5-9 years of relevant experience. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Skills you must have:

Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written). Experience working with manufacturing processes, materials, and regulations.

Skills we value:

Experience in Siemens NX, Visio, Solidworks, Python is a plus. Experience interacting with Mechanical/Electrical Computer Aided Design Resources (MCAD and ECAD) is a value. Experience working with Teamcenter and/or SAP. Knowledge and Experience working Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Knowledge in different analysis like fungus, fluids, etc. Knowledge in NX NASTRAN and/or ANSYS is a plus. Knowledge in metals, structures, polymers and composites and regulations is a big value.
