RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

Along with the EHS site representative, manage the maintenance and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives.
Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses and property damage incidents.
Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained.
Conduct, coordinate and track various training to support company programs.
Conduct routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices.
Maintain internal and regulatory reporting including data collection and reporting including but not limited to air, stormwater and surface water discharge.
Ensure the company meets all its legislative compliance obligations with OSHA, CAL/OSHA, EPA, AQMD, ADA, and fire codes.
Along with the EHS site representative Serve as contact for all regulatory agencies for inspections, permitting, reporting (air, water, waste).
Maintain compliance with permits, government regulations and other industry practices.
Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the organization.
Assist with the employees EHS trainings and training program.
Prepare and/or execute preventive maintenance programs as deemed necessary to be implemented monthly, quarterly, or annually and document appropriate compliance there with, including the preparation of written records or logbooks as required by law or government agencies or regulations applicable to plant operations.
On the environmental side, carry out periodic inspections to ensure that all rules and regulations are being complied with. Specifically, it ensures the implementation of the program of best management practices (BMP) in the environmental area.
Asist in the devitalization of the crop residues.
Coordinate the maintenance and repair of the premises and facilities in the agricultural facilities, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of the Company's property, such as buildings and other structures, machinery and mechanical systems. Maintain equipment and facilities in optimal operating conditions and coordinate them, either with internal or external resources. Schedule maintenance or repair services with the site manager, administrative assistance, or farm manager so that it does not disturb field activities. Keep operation expenses within budget.

QUALIFICATIONS / OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1 -5 years' experience in manufacturing environment with responsibility for Environmental, Health and Safety. Experience in sites services and maintenance.
Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Superior analytical/ problem solving, written and verbal communications.
Experience working with local regulatory agencies preferred.
Familiar with various emission control devices to ensure compliance.
Forklift, boom and scissor lift licenses are desirable however employee should be available to be certify if does not have it.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION

Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) or Bachelor of Agricultural Science, or engineering with experience in Occupational Health and Safety.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
