Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Puerto Rico and Central America & Caribbean Cluster, the role will be responsible for oversight and leadership of Oncology Business Unit for Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities include build-out and market planning to ensure that Oncology commercial & marketing strategy, tactics and infrastructure are in place to successfully achieve new products launch, operating plans and critical milestones. In addition, this position will work closely with local pricing and market access colleagues to appropriately communicate value, drive access and assist patient care. Also, will have full Profit & Loss responsibility.

In addition will also manage and interact with global brand teams, regional and local project teams. As a senior member of the leadership team, will drive Oncology transformation and actively engage the organization and beyond.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Effective execution by assuming responsibility for the Profit & Loss within a multifunctional organization and achieving annual budget targets, in a highly strategic and competitive therapeutic area.
  • Achieves targets by prioritizing on strong financial performance and successfully delivering on operational commitments including top line revenue growth, market share improvement and increased profits.
  • Develops imaginative, broad based and non-traditional approaches to develop Oncology business opportunities using a customer driven, end-to-end approach adapting rapidly to new situations and continually seek for new opportunities.
  • Evaluates alternatives, have the constitution for change, and the skills to drive it. Drives change and generate new ideas. Encourage others to generate ideas.
  • Engages, motivates and inspires the organization (marketing, sales and other functions). Set direction for the business and align the team to enthusiastically execute on Oncology strategy.
  • Demonstrates ability to guide and influence people and teams.
  • Attracts, retains and develops strong and diverse talents.
  • Builds strong relationship with regional and global organizations by integrating the broader organization’s expertise and know-how into the operations and take guidance effectively and contribute to corporate knowledge resources as well.
  • Works with peers, cross-Business Unit resources, Regional and Headquarters' colleagues.
Skills/Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Science, Marketing, Communication, Economics, or other related areas. Master's Degree and/or MBA (Marketing and Sales Management, Business Management, or other related areas), preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of commercial experience within the pharmaceutical and/or health industry.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Five (5) or more years of Oncology market experience including commercial launch and product life cycle management.
  • Experience in the end-to-end process of launching, promoting, and supplying pharmaceutical products.
  • Experience developing strategies, managing resources, and subsequently delivering business outcomes in alignment with that strategy.
  • Experience delivering through others, can assist and enable team members through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Experience in collaborating across markets/with region/global; able to build strong professional networks to deliver on joint objectives.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish, both oral and written.
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
